On Sunday 25th June to celebrate the conclusion of the Farley Festival there will be a Choral Evensong at 6.00pm in Farley Church. On this occasion the Psalm, Canticles and Anthem will be sung by a Choir of semi- professional ladies. The congregation is invited to listen and to join in with the hymns.
There are no funerals in the Clarendon Team in the coming week.

The Filling Station is a national organisation for Christians of any denomination. With high calibre speakers and great worship, this is not a new church, rather an opportunity for people to explore and deepen their faith in God in an informal and authentic fashion. Many people find the monthly Filling Station meetings a fun and refreshing part of their Christian life. The next meeting of the The South Wiltshire Filling Station, will be held on Wednesday 28th June, At The Radnor Hall, Bodenham, Salisbury, SP5 4EQ, Refreshments from 7.30pm. The speaker will be the Rev Benny Hazlehurst The title of his talk is ‘Discovering God’s Calling’. Benny ministers in encouraging Vocations in Salisbury Diocese. He has been ordained for 25 years and served as a curate, pioneer, vicar and prison chaplain.
There’s a “Festival of Praise“, brass band concert on Saturday 24th June at The Salvation Army, Salt Lane at 6.30pm. No charge but there will be a retiring collection in aid of the work of the Salvation Army in Salisbury.
Salisbury Musical Society, with Salisbury Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ian Wicks, is staging Mendelssohn’s ELIJAH on Saturday 24th June in the Cathedral at 7.30pm. Tickets , £20, £15 & £8 from Salisbury Playhouse Box Office, 01722 320333, on the door or online. Free unreserved tickets on the door for under 18s.
The Shape of Things to Come – from St Paul’s Church Salisbury: “We have Phil Potter, National Leader of Fresh Expressions, coming to Salisbury to talk about how we might do church differently to face the challenges of the 21st century. There will also be a range of workshops on different aspects of fresh expressions, from sacramental, through to rural, creating meditative spaces and working with young adults”.
