It is the Pitton Panto weekend so there is much excitement as well known and well loved Pittonians don their brilliant costumes to entertain us! There are Pitton School children taking part and the atmosphere in the Hall was electric last night for the Dress Rehearsal! It starts at 7pm tonight and tomorrow and at 2pm for the matinee. You can buy your tickets on the door. It will be the best “Sindbad” you have ever seen!
Then on Sunday you can rest and relax in the peaceful atmosphere of St Peter’s for the Methodist Holy Communion with Reverend Bryan Coates in the morning followed by Evensong with Nils at Farley in the evening at 6pm.
The Tuesday Group will meet again next week at the home of Caroline Nock and all are welcome. There will be a special brass cleaning session after Pitton Prayer and before the Tuesday Group starts and as many hands make light work, we hope several people will stay and help out!
The Trussell Trust is starting to collect Christmas products so keep this in my mind when you do your weekly shopping. St Peter’s have given 146Kgs of food since April 1st (including the fabulous Harvest Village collection) so let’s get this up to 200Kgs by Christmas!!!
Wendy is asking for more volunteers to join the Choir for the Carol Service in Pitton (especially Bass voices…..) so if there are any of our Farley neighbours out there please do put yourself forward. The Choir meets today for the first time. (Wendy 712742)
Jane and I wish you a very funny and happy weekend (oh no we don’t! oh yes we do!)
With best wishes from Sara and Jane
Please check the Clarendon Team website for details of all services this Sunday.

Service of Nine Lessons and Carols Sunday December 17th at 6.00pm
Every year in the past we have managed to get together a choir for the Carol Service. Sadly a number of people who used to sing with us have moved away or are unavailable. I am wondering if some members of the congregation would like to get together to learn two or three straightforward carols to add a bit of variety to the service. I fear the term “Choir” might be overstating things but I should be very happy to be proved wrong. I look forward to hearing from you.

Children’s Society Boxes in Winterslow – a message from Dennis Barnes.
The time has come around again to hand in the boxes. Last year £750 was raised for the Society. Ruth Banks will be at All Saints, Winterslow on 12th November to receive the boxes and Kay Putnam has kindly agreed to help count the money this year. It is hoped that the boxes will be returned to you by the beginning of December. Thank you very much to everyone who has donated through the boxes this year. NB: Please put your name, address and telephone number on a slip of paper and post this inside the box, before you hand it back.
