Pitton Ward at Salisbury District Hospital

Pitton residents have provided support for Pitton Ward at Salisbury District Hospital ever since it was officially opened on 20th January 1993. Over the years money has been raised to buy items such as televisions, domestic appliances and medical equipment for the benefit of patients and staff.

Murals capturing the spirit of Pitton with scenes of St Peter’s Church, the Silver Plough and Webb’s Farmhouse on Whitehill, painted by local artists Sharon Rogers, Harry McMasters and Iris Stowell are features which brighten the walls of the Ward.

 

There is a small Committee which deals with the liaison between the Village and the Ward, present members being:- Brian Cole (Chairman/Secretary), John Veck (Treasurer), Olive Veck, Veronica Townsend and Ann Pope.
