Juliette Roos (violin)
The fourth generation of a musical family, Juliette was born in London and began her violin studies at the age of 5. Her musicality was quickly recognised with a first prize at the North London Music Festival and she later joined the Royal Academy of Music, Junior Department. In addition to violin and piano, Juliette played the ‘cello for five years and was the youngest finalist in the Independent Schools’ Young Musician of the Year competition 2005, where she played the Elgar concerto.
In 2006, Juliette’s family re-located to Singapore, during which time she elected to focus her musical talents with the violin. In 2008, Juliette won entry to the Yehudi Menuhin School to pursue her music centred education, studying with Professor Lutsia Ibragimova.
 Juliette is a frequent participant at Music Festivals and Chamber master classes across Europe where she has played for many leading professors. Her performances in the BBC Young Musician 2012 contest drew high praise from the Strings Final jury who described her playing as “Absolutely spellbinding”. Juliette was the first placed violinist and won the Walter Todds Bursary Prize. Since then, she has secured engagements across Britain in concerto and recital performances at venues including Canterbury Cathedral, Romsey Abbey and Wigmore Hall. She took take part in the Sion Festival de Tibor Varga and was multiple prize-winner at Kloster Schöntal International violin competition 2015.
A graduate from HEMU, Lausanne (Site de Sion), Switzerland where she studied with Professor Pavel Vernikov, Juliette returned to London in September 2016 for her Master’s degree with Professor David Takeno at Guildhall School of Music & Drama where she has won a full Scholarship Award as well as a generous Post Graduate Study Award from The Countess of Munster Musical Trust.

Edward Liddall (Piano)
Edward Liddall is a young British pianist, active as a solo pianist, chamber musician and song accompanist. He has performed at venues across the UK and Europe both as a solo pianist, and as a chamber musician, including at The Barbican, The Wigmore Hall, The Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, The Slovak Philharmonic, Bratislava and Symphony Hall, Birmingham.
 Recent highlights include: a tour to Holland and Slovakia with Amarins Wierdsma, violin; a PLG recital at St John’s Smith Square with saxophonist Alastair Penman; at playing and acting role in Iain Burnside’s play Why Does The Queen Die? at the Oxford Lieder Festival and in London; Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the Barbican Chamber Orchestra under Joel Sandelson; a performance of Schubert’s Winterreise as part of Graham Johnson’s Song Guild; touring with Où donc est tombée ma jeunesse? in France, several Radio 3 broadcasts; winning The Accompaniment Prize at the 2015 Maureen Lehane vocal Awards at The Wigmore Hall, and he was a finalist (as a collaborative pianist) in this year’s YCAT auditions. He has a keen interest in new music, and has recorded several works from the ABRSM volume, Spectrum for Piano Duet, with Thalia Myers.
Edward has had the opportunity to take part in masterclasses with artists such as Susan Tomes, Ferenc Rados, Ralf Gothoni, Graham Johnson and Malcolm Martineau in 2016 he attended IMS Prussia Cove, where, together with ‘cellist Leander Kippenberg, he took lessons with Thomas Ades.
He has recently completed a Junior Fellowship at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama under the tutelage of Caroline Palmer, having previously completed a Masters degree (with distinction) there. Prior to this, he studied with Thalia Myers both at the Royal College of Music, Junior Department, and as an undergraduate at King’s College, Cambridge. He is grateful to The Worshipful Company of Tobacco Pipe Makers and The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers for supporting his studies at Guildhall; and to The Solti Foundation for providing a bursary to attend IMS Prussia Cove.
