To cut a long story short the youngest granddaughter of Bill Baxter (Old Forge in the High Street), Phoebe, has been diagnosed with infantile spasms and Ohtahara syndrome, at just 4 weeks old she suffered from 100 seizures a day.
Ohtahara syndrome is a progressive disorder where a sufferer has severe developmental delay, cognitive and physical disabilities and short life expectancy, the Young Epilepsy Charity works towards the removal of stigma and discrimination towards sufferers and researches the cause and treatment of epilepsy.
So on the 1st of October, Steve Taylor, Bill Baxter, Guy Madgwick and Bill’s son Joe aka “The Pitton Plodder Club” will be running and hopefully completing the Salisbury half marathon.
