Pitton – Farley Road Closure 7 May 2019

Wiltshire Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on 7 May 2019, the following length of road shall be closed to all traffic in the interests of public safety to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works:

Closure of C321, Parsonage Hill and Pitton Road/White Hill, Farley

Due to the nature of the required works and the local environment, the works are to be carried out within a temporary road closure, to ensure that adequate health and safety is maintained for local residents and the Contractor.

The Contractor will maintain pedestrian access for the duration of the works; but due to the nature of the works, disruption is inevitable and vehicular access will be restricted. It is essential that the road remains un-trafficked until the new material has set, as early trafficking could lead to premature failure. Dedicated traffic management operatives at the extent of the works will monitor access and give motorists assistance.

Signage will be in place advising that local businesses will be open as usual.
