Clarendon Team News – 15th June 2019

Dear Friends,

With only a week to go to the longest day I thought you might like to be reminded what sunshine looks like!

We celebrate Trinity Sunday this weekend and are delighted that Beth is leading the Parish Eucharist in Farley. In Pitton there is the Methodist Service with Bryan at which Joanna Balfour will be reading the lesson for the last time. We shall be giving thanks for all her years of water carrying! She has been our Hebe, cup bearing attendant to Venus the Goddess of Love! We shall wish her well in her new life up north!

Farley Music Festival is NEXT WEEK!! See below for the details. This raises an enormous amount of money for All Saints’ Church so do be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible. Three of the five nights are already sold out!

On Wednesday 26th June there will be a Coffee Morning at White Hill Lodge in aid of ALL WE CAN, 10.30-12. We had an excellent talk about this Methodist charity which is one of the three charities supported by St Peter’s tithing. Well worthwhile!

There is an invitation attached to this email for the St Peter’s Day Service on June 28th to be followed by a Bring and Share Supper.

Lastly a note for your diaries: Monday, July 22nd 7pm for a St Peter’s Fundraising Event at Amberley on White Hill: “Growing Herbs…and Apples!” Keep a lookout in your DVN for more details.

We wish you a great weekend!

With best wishes from Jane and Sara
