News from St Peter’s

Thank you to all who contributed to the collection on Remembrance Day for the Royal British Legion. We were able to send £225 for this worthwhile charity and we thank Steve Williams for being the guest speaker and for sharing memories of his life as a Military Policeman and why it is still important to remember the sacrifices of those who have served and still serve now. He spoke about the interface between military and civilian life and the impact on both. Today we remember Ukraine and its people.

The Village Christmas Carol Service will be on Thursday 22nd December at 7pm preceded by Mulled Wine and Mince Pies at 6.30. It will be led by our Vicar, Reverend Simon Chambers, in the churchyard and accompanied by Will Cole and Kensington Brass. It is a great way to get into the Christmas mood!

Thank you to all those who contributed cash and contents for the Christmas Boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We were able to send 19 shoeboxes for children in Eastern Europe. Thank you all on behalf of the children who’ll receive them for your amazing generosity.

The PathFinders and their families are all invited to the  All Age Service on Sunday December 4th at 11am with Sara. Let’s prepare for Christmas!

All are invited, for more details contact Sara on 01980 611133
