January Update from St Peter’s

Update from St Peter’s Church

We were delighted to host 178 people in the Churchyard for the Outdoor Carol Service. Thank you to all those who made it such a success setting up the gazebos, providing the wine, lighting the torches and to all the readers for telling the Christmas story so beautifully. We apologise for the initial poor sound quality; it was user error and won’t happen again!

This service was made possible through the generosity of a local benefactor. The Collection raised £230 for church funds. This will help towards paying our Parish Share for 2022. It costs us £19,000 per annum, which we pay to the Diocese of Salisbury. We rely on our regular members who give generously by standing order. If you are able and willing to give a New Year gift to the church, then it would be most gratefully received.

Most excitingly though, we wish to share a photo of our newly enlarged “Warm Space” at the rear of the church where Tea, Cake and Chatter takes place on Tuesday afternoons. Please do pop in and have a look or sit in the warm on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Save the Date: Coffee, Cake and Squash Morning at the Church Saturday March 11th

Our next Outdoor service will be on Easter Sunday 9th April starting at 10.30 with a
Churchyard Easter Egg Hunt and finishing inside for those who wish to have Communion.
