Palm Sunday News from St Peter’s

Good Afternoon Dear Friends,

Lent is nearly over and the joy of Palm Sunday is upon us!

We are delighted to be sharing our service with our Winterslow and Farley friends. The service will BEGIN at 11am in the High Street in the shared drive of Mike Cole and Lynn and Cliff Whitley opposite the shop and we will process along to the church after the opening scripture. Simon will be leading our service and our singing and will preside at the Palm Sunday Eucharist.`

Today the Pitton Pre School held their Easter Egg Hunt in church and this lunchtime, Pitton School are holding their Easter Service. It is wonderful to see the church so full of little children!

Next week we are holding a Good Friday service at 11am with our Methodist Minister Bryan and on Sunday we will celebrate Easter with an Easter Egg Hunt for the children at 10.30 before our Easter Eucharist at 11am. We hugely look forward to seeing many of you for the very special Festival.

We are all invited to attend the following: “The Road to the Cross” at Bramshaw Village Hall on Good Friday. See below for more details. Debbie is going and will have three spaces in her car if anyone wants a lift.
We wish you all a Very Happy Easter,
From Sara and Sarah and Linda and Debbie

Dear Everyone

I hope you may already be aware of the forthcoming return visit by the wonderful “Oddments Theatre Company” to Bramshaw Village Hall on Good Friday (7th April) at 7pm
They are bringing their new Easter production, “The Way to the Cross” – a contemporary stage show that follows Jesus and the disciples from Palm Sunday to Pentecost.
If you’ve been to an “Oddments” performance before, they will need no further introduction. They are one of the few full-time Christian theatre companies in the UK. Based in Yeovil, Somerset, they reach out to churches and prisons across England.

Tickets are now on sale! Please book (and pay) in advance to avoid disappointment (and save £2 a ticket)
Bramshaw Village Hall (SO43 7JE)  is a wonderful venue with excellent parking. Please come and bring family and friends. (Please note that this performance is not recommended for those under the age of 12)
Doors open at 6.30pm. The Performance starts at 7pm.
Tickets are £12 in advance or £14 on the door. They are available from me (davidbramrec@aol.com or 01794 390256) or on-line at www.oddments-theatre.co.uk.
