The Clarendon Art group (formerly known as the Winterslow Art Group) continues to flourish and now meets in the very pleasant and well lit hall in Farley every Friday.
We have recently completed an exciting exhibition at Salisbury Hospital with sixty-five paintings, many of them very large, under the theme “Out of Africa”. This was a selection of artworks influenced by the African landscape, its colours, animals and culture. Some of the work was painted and glazed on tiles , which is a new venture for us.
The others included water colours, acrylics, pastels and collage. Art by this group is on display at the Hook and Glove in Farley and the lst floor restaurant at the Edinbugh Woollen Mill at Wilton Village.
For any enquiries please contact Diana Jarvis on 01980 862169.
We meet from 10.00am – 12 noon every Friday, and, weather permitting try to do painting outdoors in the summer.
