The Julian Meeting
Julian Meetings are groups of people who meet regularly in order to grow in the practice of contemplative prayer in the Christian tradition and welcome people of all denominations, or none.
In late 2015, it was decided to wind up the Pitton Julian meetings. However, we shall continue to hold Quiet Days from time to time as these are usually well attended.
In contemplative prayer we seek to be aware of the presence of God and to remain silently and attentively in that presence, completely open to God. Belonging to a group can be a great help and encouragement. Prayerful silence is greatly helped when two or three are together, and this complements our daily personal prayer.
