Winterbourne Opera’s production of Gounod’s Faust
Date/Time
A message from Hilary Sharland, Chair of Winterbourne Opera:
Dear All
Just a reminder that our production of Gounod’s Faust opens in The Chapel nightclub, Salisbury, next week, from Tuesday 28 July to Saturday 1 August (except Thursday) at 7.30pm.
It is an amazing building – it is worth coming to see The Chapel and Ben Occhipinti’s innovative use of it (and the set made by The National Theatre), and experience the authentic club atmosphere too!
We have some fantastic singers this year – really stunning voices, and a first rate-orchestra, so it is going to be fabulous music and you will instantly recognise some of it – especially ‘The Flower Song’ and ‘The Soldiers’ Chorus’.
It was once the most famous and most performed of operas – Faust is the book on which Phantom of the Opera musical is based, and in My Fair Lady the audience turning out of Covent Garden has just seen Faust.
If you haven’t seen it before, now is your chance! You will have an exciting evening!
Tickets from Salisbury Playhouse www.salisburyplayhouse.com or www.winterbourneopera.net at £20 or £25. Dinner also bookable with summer menu £20 on Friday evening at 6pm.

We hope you can make it!
Best wishes
Hilary Sharland
