New Pitton Circular Walk – official opening
Date/Time
The Pitton Paths group have completed all the tasks required for the adoption of our Circular Walk. This is the walk that takes in the Clarendon Place ruins, see attached guide.
To achieve this we have been working with the South Wiltshire Paths Group. This is the volunteer group that is very active in the area installing kissing gates, clearing paths etc. – for the benefit of all walkers. Pitton is the first village to have completed all the tasks required for adoption of a Circular Walk. Because of this we are going to have a grand opening event, which takes place on Sunday 11th October. At this event we will have a Wiltshire Councillor to ‘cut the ribbon’ to open the walk. Following this all Pitton villagers (and any others) are invited to take this new circular walk, as part of this grand opening event. After the walk we will retire to the Silver Plough for drinks. I will also reserve a number of tables for those who wish to stay on for a lovely Sunday roast lunch. The schedule is:
This is a great opportunity for a get together and I hope that we will see many of you attending. To help with the arrangements and numbers for the day would you please let me know:
