Alexandra Vaduva (piano) – Farley Music Festival

Programme includes music by Schubert, Dutilleux, Stravinsky and Brahms. Romanian-born pianist, Alexandra Vaduva started playing the piano at the age of 4 with the teacher Doina Olteteanu. Since then she has won numerous national and international piano competitions, such as first prize at the Her competitional activity is harmoniously blended with a busy concert schedule. Alexandra has performed with the Royal Academy of Music orchestra the piano concerti by Stravinsky and Grieg.
Alexandra’s performances have taken her to wonderful venues such as the Lobkowitz Palace (Vienna), Minato-Mirai Hall (Yokohama-Japan), Wigmore Hall, Duke’s Hall, Yamaha Centre, The Castle, St. James’ Church, Steinway Hall, Colston Hall, Regent’s Hall, Charlton House, the Romanian Cultural Institute, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, King’s Place. Her collaboration with violinist Maria Wloszczowska has led to being accepted into the final rounds of the prestigious Patrons Award Competition, which took place at the Wigmore Hall, in January 2014. Alexandra is grateful to the SOLTI Foundation and the Help Musicians UK Fund for their support. She is currently in her final Master’s Degree year, studying on a full scholarship with Diana Ketler.
