Farley Music Festival : Piano Recital by Hannah-Elizabeth Teoh
Date/Time
Thursday 12 June 2014 at 19:00
New Zealand born pianist Hannah-Elizabeth Teoh attended the New Zealand School of Music and Victoria University before coming to the UK to study on scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music. She has recorded with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and performed in masterclasses with such renowned pianists as Michael Andres, Peter Hill and Peter Nagy. For the past two years she has studied under Prof. Pascal Nemirovski, performing in various concerts and competitions around the country. Contemporary music is an important part of her life- she has worked with London based contemporary music ensemble Area 21 and premiered works by leading New Zealand composers. Hannah-Elizabeth pursues many interests outside of music, including literature, philosophy, and the visual arts, and hopes in the future to explore ways of linking these disciplines to piano performance, developing and expanding the margins of the traditional concert format.
