Octavia Lamb posterAn Illustrated Concert  ‘From Pan-Pipes to Platinum Flute’ to raise funds for Cherubim’s Muramatsu platinum flute, featuring Octavia Lamb, Royal College of Music scholar and holder of the Cherubim Music Trust platinum flute, performing music by Bach, Saint-Saëns and others accompanied by Dominic Doutney.  Programme below.

Octavia Lamb was born and educated in Gillingham. Before winning a scholarship to the Royal College of Music, of which her flute professor, Gitte Marcusson, writes “As one of the most talented students I have ever taught (including principal flutes of the LSO & RSNO) Octavia has all it takes to have a remarkable career.”

Octavia’s ambition is to become principal flute of an opera orchestra, and recently performed in the RCM’s Magic Flute.

As well as solo recitals, she has a Wind Quintet and is playing in the ‘Paris, city of lights’ series with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
