Joint Parish Service – Refreshments from 10.30

A very special Morning Worship Service to be led by Debbie McIsaac at Pitton School rather than in one of our Churches. This will be a very enjoyable service with a very apt theme of ‘From Generation to Generation’.

This is a combined Parish service so there is not going to be a service at All Saints’ on Sunday. We hope that many of our Farley friends will be able to come and please could you forward this information to any who are not on the PCC as I do not have the other Farley addresses. Please do invite friends and neighbours who may not normally come to church but who would like to come to something different in school!

Prayer, Worship, Recollection, Remembrance, Celebration and Recognition of those Generations who have gone before us will all feature in this service beautifully constructed by Debbie.

We would like to invite you to come any time from 10.30 for refreshments first. The Hall will be set up “cafe style” and the service will start at 11am. Debbie and Nils and I will all be involved in the leadership and the title is “A Service of Celebration and Commitment.” It will tell the story of Doreen Armitage’s brother who was lost at sea in 1944. Please do come and listen and celebrate as the new School Year starts.

For those PathFinder parents who do not know: Doreen Armitage is the mother of Mrs Nock who taught at Pitton School for 18 years. Sadly she is on holiday but her sister will be present to hear the story and to celebrate with us. The PathFinders will come out into one of the classroom with me and Mrs Sankey and we will be looking at those who support us and hold us as we grow up into our adult selves.

We greatly look forward to seeing you and we encourage you warmly to come and take part,

With very best wishes from Sara
