Men of Pitton : Visit to Bore Hill Farm biodigester plant

Date/Time
Tuesday 04 March 2014 at 09:30

Our next trip will be to the Bore Hill Farm Biodigester near Warminster on the 4th March 2014.
An extract from their details are shown below:- More is available on their website.
I have arranged for our visit to start at 10.30 am to give more time for our lunch – please meet at John Veck’s at 9.30 am.
I have booked a table at the Angel Inn at Heytesbury (about  3 miles from Bore Hill Farm) for lunch.I will send out a sample menu before the 4th as it would be helpful to the pub to let them know our choices before arrival.
Please reply to me at Roy@Forder.ndo.co.uk
The visit includes meeting in the visitor centre viewing and explanation of the process and the site. We gather in the meeting room and then I show you the indoor reception operations from the windows in the conference room before going for a walk across the yard to show you the main process area and the generators. We then finish of back in the visitors centre for on-going discussion depending on the weather. A visit normally lasts about an hour and a half depending on the level of discussion and detail covered. There is parking on site and there are toilet facilities. Please advise your party that there is a flight of steps to climb and no lift. Most walking will be indoors and across concrete yard surfaces. We provide hi viz vests and advise sturdy shoes are worn”.
We will meet at John Veck’s at 10.00 am in order to arrive in time for the 11.00 am start – please may I have volunteers to drive.
The cost of the visit is dependant on the number attending but in the order of £10 To £14.
After the visit we will “digest” the usual pub lunch – details later.
Please let me know if you wish to come along  Roy@Forder.ndo.co.uk
