Men of Pitton walk from Easton
Date/Time
There will be a walk today organised for members of the Men of Pitton from Easton (Winchester) with lunch at the Chestnut Horse. It is proposed that we do a very enjoyable walk from THE CHESTNUT HORSE at EASTON. The walk is approx 4 1/2 miles, is almost dead flat and follows the River Itchen from EASTON to ITCHEN ABBASS and back.Hopefully, the weather will be fine!
I suggest that we travel by car to EASTON which is on the EASTERN SIDE of WINCHESTER. We will leave WHITEHILL LODGE at 9.30am for EASTON which takes approx 45 minutes and start the walk at approx 10.30am.We will lunch at the CHESTNUT HORSE PUB at say 12.30pm.It is a lovely pub with good food and beer. Cars can be left at the pub whilst we walk.VOLUNTEER DRIVERS PLEASE. Return to PITTON will be approx 3.30pm..
If you would like to come ,please let me know {johnl.veck@gmail.com] by MONDAY !!th JULY so that I can make arrangements for lunch.
Some of us have done the walk before and enjoyed it!
I look forward to hearing from you. Regards to all. John.
