Music in Farley presents Sharon Gould and Colin Howard

Date/Time
Saturday 11 April 2015 at 19:30

Colin Howard

Colin Howard

Sharon Gould

Sharon Gould

The debut performance by this recently formed piano duo playing music by Mozart, Schubert, Brahms and Debussy.

Sharon Gould and Colin Howard will both be playing the piano, and will have some fun swapping places at the keyboard!  They will also introduce the music as they go along.

Sharon and Colin both studied piano at the Royal College in London and went on to conduct choirs and orchestras in the UK.  Each has been heard singing services in Salisbury Cathedral, Colin as deputy lay-vicar, Sharon in the Cathedral Chamber Choir, and they are both music-examiners for ABRSM.  A shared interest in early keyboards led to the formation of this piano duo and some of their rehearsals take place on recently-restored 19th century pianos in Colin’s collection.

Programme:

Mozart       Andante and Variations, K501
Schubert   Allegro ‘Lebensstürme’, op.144
Brahms     Nine Waltzes, op.39

Interval

Debussy   Petite Suite
Debussy   Six Epigraphes Antiques

Tickets £10 from Salisbury Playhouse 01722 320333 and on the door.
