Pitton Platinum Jubilee Day Celebrations

Pitton’s celebration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Children’s art competition set up a.m. in the hall on a theme of “HM The Queen”. The winner’s painting or sculpture will be printed on a souvenir mug to be given to all children. More details to follow. 1.00pm Children’s fun day, with bouncy castle, face painting, football, hoops spacehoppers and more. We would like a sea of red, white and blue. 3.00pm communal tea party. Bring a large plate of sandwiches, savouries, fruit or cakes to be shared on your table. No nuts please. Bring your own plate. Teas will be served by the Social Club and Pitton Ladies. Bring soft drinks if you prefer. 5.00pm Beer tent opens. 5.00pm Cutting of a huge celebratory cake. Music playlist from 3.00 until 7.00 pm with wartime music and pop through the decades. 6.30pm Serving of hot food by the Silver Plough. 7.30pm to 10.00 Two sessions of jazz and swing from Tony Rogers and his group.
