Trout and About
Date/Time
There are no admittance fees and parking is provided completely free of charge at either end of the High Street. Complimentary vintage double decker buses provided by King Alfred Buses will run all day dropping visitors amidst the action. Although Trout ‘n About has been running for just 7 years it has very quickly become one of the most popular local food events in the Hampshire calendar. The festival is run by volunteers from the community and any funds raised are used to finance local good causes. The festival offers a wide range of locally produced food from farms and small businesses in Hampshire plus crafts. This year we have 115 stall holders showcasing the best that Hampshire can offer lining both sides of Stockbridge’s historic High Street. As well as this year’s festival sponsors – Savills and Southern Co-operative, there will be an amazing array of stalls selling and cooking wonderful local produce. This will include delicious baked goodies, local meats; beef burgers, water buffalo, lamb and pork, aromatic herbs, seafood, handmade marshmallows, olives, cupcakes, preserves and chutneys, cordials, apple juice, smoked fish, biltong, local cheeses, scrumptious sweet and savoury tarts, chilli and garlic products, cider, ales and sparkling wines from the Test Valley. A foodie’s delight! Local arts and craft stalls will include handmade jewellery, baskets, plants, animal portraits, recycled wire sculptures, natural soaps & creams, hand painted tableware, photography, bespoke art prints, poultry houses & poultry, furniture and fly fishing! There will be plenty of demonstrations too from hand forged ironwork and wood turning to juggling! Come along and join us for a fantastic fun day out for all the family.
