Visit to the Boscombe Down Collection

The Men of Pitton are organising a visit to the Boscombe Down Collection at Old Sarum. Lunch at the Old Inn, Allington.    Afternoon visit to the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop.
The programme for this week’s visit is :
    Meet at John Veck’s house 1015 am
    1030 am. Arrive Boscombe Down Aviation Collection, Old Sarum airfield.
  There are 30 aircraft and cockpits to sit in, housed in a genuine WW1 hangar. Admission is £7.00 for Seniors and £8.50 for adults.
    1215 am. Leave for Old Inn, Tidworth Road, Alington for lunch which is run by Joyce and Yeuhan Riley, late of the Silver Plough.
    1330ish. Leave for Museum of Army Flying Middle Wallop.
 The Museum houses over 35 historic rotary and fixed wing aircraft covering 100 years of British Army flying. Displays are housed on two levels with lift access and disabled facilities. Admission is £7.50 for Seniors and £9.00 for adults.
    1545 depart.
If there are more than 10 people going, admission discounts are available from both places.
