West Dean Fete

West Dean Village Fete starts the day with our grand opening by the amazing Romsey Old Cadets band, marching through the village. Other musical entertainment is provided by the Frontline Ukulele band along with the King John’s Morris men creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the afternoon. In the main arena you will see a superb falconry display, watch the Tug of War and many other attractions. In the children’s zone you can spend time in the Art and Craft tent, have a go at archery, learn how to play golf with Katie Huffam and take part in the children’s races. Watch Juggling Jake perform his amazing circus skills, see a performance of Line dancing and take part in the dog show. For a quiet break pop along to the tea and cake zone or visit St Mary’s church to see the flower festival. Other attractions include Bar, Cider Bar, BBQ, Pimm’s bar, Ponies, Sheep, Cake stall, Tombola, Open mic, Book stall, Silent auction, Second hand clothes. Come by car or catch the train to Dean station on the Salisbury to Romsey line. Fete entry is free for children under 16 and £3 per adult. Simply a wonderful afternoon for everyone.
