Pitton Village Hall
Pitton Village Hall provides an outstanding venue to hire for a variety of activities from wedding receptions, dance classes and art groups to children’s parties and general meetings. It can seat up to 80 people for special occasions and has a modern kitchen with two cookers, a commercial dishwasher and a wide range of crockery and cutlery. It also has a stage to enable plays, presentations, lectures, etc to take place with extensive lighting to enhance any performance. The Hall also offers its hirers free access to a broadband connection. The Hall is bordered by a large, well-maintained playing field where there is ample space for a marquee if required, and car parking. The Hall also overlooks lovely rolling Wiltshire countryside and large areas of woodland.
There is an excellent pub, The Silver Plough (Tel: 01722-712266) with a restaurant, on the opposite side of the road.
The Hall also offers its hirers FREE access to a broadband connection. The Booking Secretary will provide the wireless password on request.

If anyone wishes to hire the village hall on a regular, say weekly, basis, for example, to run an art class, table tennis club, fitness club etc, they should contact the Bookings Secretary to discuss availability and charges.
For weddings, a returnable deposit of £100 is required on booking and payment in full before the event. Cheques made payable to Pitton Village Hall and sent to Jill Gore at Church Farm, Townsend, Pitton, Salisbury, SP5 1DH

Marquee Hire
We have two marquees for hire, one 10m x 6m (Recommended capacity: 60-65 seated, 75 standing) and one 6m x 5m (Recommended capacity 35-40 seated, 40 standing).
Hire is subject to agreement to the Conditions of Hire.

2020 And Beyond
Face-to-visits to Pitton residents in 2018 identified overwhelming support for the Village Hall. People welcomed that thought was being given to improving both the facilities on offer as well as the availability of the hall for village people. At the Village Hall Management Committee AGM in February 2019, we agreed that a Vision for the Hall should be established for the future. Over the past months, the Vision has been developed in the form of our Purpose and Objectives.

**COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS**
The Village Hall Committee has carried out an extensive risk assessment of the effect of COVID-19 on the use of the Hall. The Risk Assessment, Revised Hire Terms & Conditions and Hirer’s Cleaning Checklist are available here:
Hirers must download and read all three and then complete the cleaning checklist before vacating the Hall.
