Pitton Primary School
Pitton Primary School lies five miles east of Salisbury in Wiltshire. It is a typical small village school with up to 100 pupils housed in four classrooms. The school was originally Grant Maintained but in September 1999 Pitton Primary School became Voluntary Aided in recognition of the school’s historical foundation.
The purpose-built school is sited on two acres of land surrounded by fields that belong to the Clarendon Estate.
The school also has a large playground, playing field and excellent resources for ICT which includes SMART Boards in most classrooms and Broadband connection to the Internet.
Each class is taught by a teacher helped by an educational support assistant. Extra-curricular activities such as football (Southampton Football Club), Premier Sports, netball, dance, musical theatre, forest school and music (recorder and ukulele) are led by specialist teachers or external providers. The Governors, villagers and parents take an active part in supporting the work in classrooms and after-school clubs.
