Pitton Paths – update (24th May)

Following the fencing of the field – a new route, with a gate, was created to give access to a permissive path for the circular walk between Pitton and Winterslow. However the area around the gate was overgrown with roots and brambles and, after obtaining permission from the landowner, a group of four from the Pitton Paths group joined Margaret (from Winterslow) to do some clearing. After an hour the job was done and you should be able to enjoy unencumbered access via this new route, which is just a few metres beyond the Clarendon Way footpath on the hill running up from Pitton Road/Bottom Way.

The photos attached show the before and after state along with a picture of the ‘gang’.
