Wiltshire Money

Wiltshire Money Recruitment poster-1My name is Kirsten Kerr and I am employed by Wiltshire Citizens Advice as a Project Officer for Wiltshire Money.

Wiltshire Money is the lead body for financial inclusion activity within Wiltshire & provides a strategic framework for local organisations to co-ordinate their work, develop collaborative partnerships & share lessons learnt. It aims to help people make informed financial choices and be in control of their money.  They work to improve the quality of life of those in economic need through improved financial capability & better access to free money advice. Wiltshire Money hosts forums, distributes E-Bulletins, provides training for staff and clients.  In the last year they engaged with over 93 organisations & over 260 members of staff.

To endeavour to reduce the problem of Financial Exclusion, Wiltshire Citizens Advice and partners have obtained funding from the Department of Work & Pensions to offer free Managing Money group sessions and one to one money mentioning sessions, for those clients who need individual support.

We are currently looking to recruit volunteers to help deliver financial capability work across the county. We are looking for people who can commit for one year and would like to deliver group training and/or one to one guidance to service users.
