Pitton Past & Present

The Pitton Defibrillator Group is delighted to let you know that the sum of £1465.13 was raised at the two successful presentations held at the village during May.

This sum, together with the amount donated to the Community Heartbeat Trust (CHT) website account, means the sum needed to acquire a Defibrillator has been achieved!  Plans are now going ahead for its purchase and installation.  The Defibrillator will be sited in the telephone box in Slate Way, which has been purchased from BT and is currently undergoing refurbishment.  In addition, the CHT will be running an information session for the village, probably during September/October, which we hope you will all be able to attend.  Please note, it is not a training session, you do not need to be trained to use the Defibrillator.

Plans are now afoot to continue fund raising for a second Defibrillator, to be sited in another part of the village in order to try and ensure the whole village has close access to a Defibrillator.

We are very lucky to have Steve and Sarah Davies living here and they are steering us through this next stage.  Please keep an eye out for details of basic life support training sessions which they have kindly offered to run.

Finally, donations are still very welcome to enable us to continue fund raising for a second Defibrillator and these can be made by emailing Sarah Davies

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this worthwhile cause.
