Pitton Farley Jubilee Celebrations – Handy Guide

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS IN PITTON

THURSDAY 2nd June
6:00 pm onwards – Steak night at Silver Plough. Please book 2 days in advance. Last orders by 7:30pm to catch the beacon lighting
9.15 pm – Assemble in Silver Plough car park. Fizz available.
9.45 pm – Beacon Bonfire lit on the playing field to start the celebration. Sparklers for everyone.

FRIDAY 3rd June at Village Hall Field
4.30 pm – Bring your own picnic. Gazebos, tables and chairs available.
5.00 pm – Beer tent opens
6.00 pm – Chris Williams band playing music through the decades, with dancing, until late.

SATURDAY 4th June at Village Hall Field
1.00 pm – Children’s fun and games. Bouncy castle, balls, hoppers, circuit for carts and trikes, hoops and toys.
1.00pm – Exhibition of children’s art: “The Queen”.
3.00 pm – Tea Party. Bring a large plate of sandwiches, cake, fruit or savouries to share with your neighbours. No nuts or shellfish please. Wear red, white and blue.
Tables and chairs will be set up for you.
4.30 pm – Children to parade with their silk painted flags.
4.45 pm – Winner of art competition announced. Souvenir mugs given to children.
5.00 pm – Cutting of huge Jubilee cake.
5.00 pm – Beer tent opens.
6.30 pm – Food from Silver Plough available in marquee.
7.30 pm – Tony Rogers’ jazz and swing group, until late.

SUNDAY 5th June
11.00 am – Service at St. Peter’s Church.
1.30 pm – Hog Roast at the Silver Plough with live music from ‘Back to the Shack’.
