Have your say on the impact Welfare Reforms could have on the Council Tax Reduction scheme in Wiltshire
You have been sent this email as a member of the ‘Community Area Network’.
To qualify for national welfare benefits applicants have to meet a number of criteria that are set by the government. In addition to national benefits Wiltshire Council has created a local scheme to support low income households and help them with their council tax. This is called the council tax reduction scheme.
We are proposing changes to our scheme from 1 April 2017 which brings it back in line with changes the government is making to other welfare benefits.
We are conducting a survey where we can gather a range of views which will be taken into account when deciding whether to make changes or not.
We would be most grateful if you would help us with our survey by following the link below. The survey should take no longer than 5 minutes to fill out and all responses are treated confidentially.
You can take the survey here: Council Tax Reduction Survey or you can visit this link to the council’s consultation portal and select Council tax reduction scheme consultation.
If you do not have access to the internet but still want to take part in our survey please phone us on 0300 456 0110.
