Here is a programme of events for the wonderful Farley Literary Festival which is happening in Farley on September 4-10th.
It features something for everybody with talks by writers, experts and a Sunday Times journalist, a quiz night in The Hook and Glove, and a writing competition. There is a fabulous Feast on Saturday night and it ends with a special church service featuring work by Gerard Manley Hopkins.

Tickets for individual talks can be booked via Salisbury Playhouse and the website www.farleyliteraryfestival.co.uk.

WRITING COMPETITION:
The writing competition is in two age groups: school age and adults. The children’s competition will be judged by award winning author, Angela Mcallister and the adults’ entries will be judged during the quiz night on Thursday. All you have to do is write your masterpiece story in 150 words. This can be in any genre: thriller, romance, history etc, or even a childhood memory.
